Various lane/ramp closures on I-49/U.S. 71 in Jackson County for sign replacement work, Sept. 21-23
JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will conduct various overnight lane and ramp closures for sign replacement work on I-49 and U.S 71 NB between Blue Ridge Blvd and past Red Bridge Rd. All work is weather permitting. See below for modifications:
Overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21 to Wednesday, Sept. 23
- Various lane closures on northbound I-49/U.S. 71 between Blue Ridge Blvd and past Red Bridge Rd.
- Crews will CLOSE the on ramp from southbound Blue Ridge Blvd leaving lanes/ramp to Longview Rd open.
- Crews will CLOSE the exit ramp to the junction of northbound I-435/I-470.
- Crews will CLOSE the exit ramp to Red Bridge Rd. from I-49.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
