Night work begins Monday on US-20 north of Sugar City

US-20 construction planned near Sugar City.

The Idaho Transportation Department and contractor partners will begin repairs to U.S. Highway 20 north of Sugar City on Monday, August 17. Crews will work through the night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Exit 338 at Sugar City/ Salem and East 200 North.

Traffic will be reduced for two-mile stretches at a time where work is occurring. Crews will conduct crack repairs, joint improvements and repaving operations to create a smoother ride both north and southbound through this area.

All work will be paused through Labor Day weekend from September 5- 7. The project is expected to be complete by mid-September.

Updates detailing specific traffic impacts of this project and others across the state can always be found on the Idaho 511 app and at 511.idaho.gov.
