Vance Assures US Military Involvement in Iran Is Temporary
In an interview with independent journalist Ben Johnson on Friday, Vance stressed that American operations are limited in scope and duration. He emphasized that the US plans to achieve its objectives quickly before withdrawing forces.
“The president has been very clear about this, (that) we’re not interested in being in Iran a year down the road, or two years down the road,” Vance stated.
He further noted that the US is focused solely on completing its current mission and will exit Iran in the near future. “We’re going to be out of there soon, and gas prices are going to come back down,” he added, offering assurances to Americans concerned about energy costs.
